He further said that the main motto of setting up legal services authorities in each district is to provide justice to the weaker section of society. The state legal services authority is obliged to lay down policies for offering legal services as per the apex court’s direction, free of cost for the needy. He also said that the legal services authority will help the uneducated in dealing with legal matters.
“If Vachathi villagers need any legal support, it could be done through the district legal services authority,” the justice said, adding that the authority also would take necessary steps to bring it to the government’s knowledge.
